This delicious green power smoothie is the perfect detox breakfast drink.
Green deliciousness with spinach, kiwifruit, mint, banana and superfood powders like spirulina, moringa and matcha. What a lovely way to start your morning! This flavourful, creamy and refreshing smoothie is full of vitamins and minerals and keeps you full ’til lunch. Plus it literally takes 2 minutes to prepare. Especially with a NutriBullet. Oh, look, you can win one here!
Giveaway is sponsored by Healthsomeness. All opinions are my own.
Though I love every kind of smoothie, this green one here is my favourite nowadays, because I can stuff super much spinach (or kale) in there without affecting the flavour one bit. Smoothie heaven! Smoothies make the best ever filling breakfast, post-workout snack or refreshing afternoon pick-me-up. It definitely doesn’t take a degree in rocket science to make a good smoothie but my mind is still blown by the fact that I can stuff in 2-3-4 servings of fruit and veggie into a simple drink.
In the past couple of months we drink smoothies every single day. I feel like we became smoothie experts and tried probably every possible combination out there. Okay, I am a bit exaggerating, but you know what I mean. Since we are super lazy and always in a hurry in the mornings we came up with a great solution, so now instead of 5 minutes we literally spend 30 seconds to make our breakfast. Once a week we prepare our weekly smoothies, adding whatever smoothie ingredients to small ziploc bags or boxes, then freeze them. So in the morning we just have to add that to a blender with some liquid (water, almond milk, coconut water, juice) and voila, breakfast in 30 seconds. Since it’s colder here this time of the year, we like to take the breakfast bag out of the freezer the night before and place in the fridge so we don’t drink ice cold smoothies in the morning.
I always say smoothies are the best for starting new healthy habits. Just by switching your bacon-egg-toast breakfast to a delicious smoothie one you do so much for your health. And taste buds. Seriously, smoothies are so yummy. And to help you with your new journey you can win now your very own NutriBullet! Yeah! This will help you make the most delicious breakfast drinks ever. You can read a review on the NUTRiBULLET here.

I am completely head over heels with Green extreme ! It’s my go-to smoothie and I drink it at least three times a week. I love that spirulina adds those extra greens we all need + that gorgeous vivid green hue.. It just makes those moody monday mornings so much better ! :)) P.S. Thank you for the brilliant idea to adding matcha tea to my smoothie !I wonder why I’ve never thought of that myself…
Josefine says
I don’t know why I’ve never subscribed to your blog over mail before :O Anyway, this was a great opportunity for doing so 🙂
Love the idea of prepping smoothies – have to do that too! Because I love smoothies but sometimes I don’t make them solely because I am too lazy to prep them 😉
All of the recipes on Healthsomeness’s looks fab. Especially the Beets for Brains with beets and carrots and ginger – what a combo!
green evi says
Yes, smoothie prepping makes life so much easier!
It’s also great, to use up leftover veggies. I often have like half an apple, a pumpkin slices or a few handful of kale and spinach laying around, which are just not appetising anymore to eat, but still good in smoothies 🙂
