As far as I can remember, I tried hummus first around 10 years ago. It was definitely love at first sight/taste. Since that (any kind of) hummus just seems like staying a favorite forever. So versatile, tasty and filling.
And hummus is just a favorite of everybody, so I don’t know why I feel like posting the 1000000000th hummus recipe. But you know what? I like to browse food blogs not just for new recipes but simply for ideas. There are days I forget about hummus, and these days I’ll be truly happy to look at this post.
Here should come a part about the health benefits of hummus I guess, but now I decided to be lazy.

Roasted Red Pepper Hummus
- Total Time: 25 mins
- Yield: large bowl
Ingredients
- 1 can of chickpeas
- 2 large bell pepper
- 2 Tbsp tahini
- 2–3 Tbsp olive oil
- 3–4 Tbsp water
- 1 clove of garlic
- 2 limes
- salt, pepper, paprika
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 250°C. Wash the peppers and roast them for about 20 minutes. When they are black put them in an air-tight container and let them set for a while.
- Peel the peppers and put them in a food processor together with all the other ingredients and blend them until smooth. Enjoy!
- Prep Time: 5 mins
- Cook Time: 20 mins
