Super Sauce Recipe + GIVEAWAY

A delicious super sauce recipe from The Main Street Vegan Academy Cookbook.

The Main Street Vegan Academy Cookbook by Victoria Moran and JL Fields is a great book with over 100 delicious recipes and with lots of practical advices all-round veganism. It’s a lovely resource for both vegans and those who are interested in easy-to-prepare plant-based comfort foods. Today I will share one of my favorite easy recipes from the book and one of you can also win a copy of the book too. Yay!

You’ll love this book if you are a fan of vegan comfort food. It has all sort of mouthwatering recipes, from healthy and extra quick dishes to epic vegan junk foods. This book is a great example that vegan doesn’t just mean lettuce and salads (yes, I know I chose a salad recipe from the book, but you know, the exception proves the rule…). Just look at this list of my favorite recipes from the book:

  • Chips ‘N’ Salsa Bean Burgers
  • Beefless Goulash
  • Sweet Red Chili Potato Skins
  • Roasted Red Pepper Cutlets
  • Creamy Vegetable Lasagna
  • Easy-Peasy Mac ‘N’ Cheezburger
  • Vegan Cheesy Beefy Penne Bake
  • Classic Pumpkin Pie with Spiked Whipped Cream

Besides recipes the book is also filled with practical tricks, kitchen hacks, and info about vegan products and produce. The book has also general lifestyle tips, such as how to get your family involved, what to do with picky eaters, or how to eat out as a vegan.

The recipe I share today with you is a super versatile one. It provides a tangy yet not overpowering flavor that will send you back for more good food. You can use it as a salad dressing, but it’s also great with roasted veggies, beans, grains, or as a dipping sauce for fries or chips. You’ll love it!

If you try this recipe, let me know! I would highly appreciate if you could leave a comment and rate it. Also don’t forget to take a picture and tag it on Instagram (use the hashtag #greenevi) or post it on Facebook! I love seeing what you come up with! ♥︎

My favorite vegan comfort food is pizza. I know, so original haha. Unfortunately it’s still a very rare option at pizza places/restaurants in my area, working on mastering my own.

When stressful life calls for food to cope with stress, I turn to potatoes. My weakness is amazing french fries, but baked, boiled, steamed, roasted and turned into home-fries will do.

My families favorite comfort food has always been cauliflower mac n’ cheese. It brings my family together around the dinner table better than any other dish I know. I think for me the comfort might come more from the company though.

Thank you so much for the amazing recipes! You make being plant strong so appealing. Not to mention so very yummy!
