Whiskey and Maple Roasted Nuts

Ingredients

  • 2 cups of mixed nuts (I used walnut, cashew and almond)
  • 3 tbsp whiskey
  • 3 tbsp maple syrup
  • salt, pepper


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 150°C. Add the maple syrup and whiskey to a pan and bring them to boil. Add the nuts and let them simmer for 10 minutes. Stir it well so all the nuts are coated with the mixture.
  2. Drain any excess liquid and spread out the nuts on a baking tray in a singe layer. Season with salt and pepper generously.
  3. Roast the nuts for about 10-15 minutes, turning them over once halfway through baking time. Let them cool completely before serving. Enjoy!
