Tahini and Spirulina Guacamole

I am totally obsessed with guacamole. And this tahini and spirulina version is my new favourite. It’s such an easy and comforting food and probably the best snack ever. I love to eat it with basically anything, on a toast, with tortilla chips and veggie sticks, and on a salad.

Tahini and Spirulina Guacamole

This here is what I call superfood. Every ingredient is a superfood itself, so together they are just amazing for you. The avocados are full of fibre, vitamins, antioxidants and omega-3 fatty acids, the tahini is an amazing source of calcium, potassium, iron, magnesium and vitamins, the spirulina is a complete protein food, rich in vitamins, antioxidants, omega-3 fatty acids, iron and many many more! Super delicious superfood! ❤️

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 avocados
  • 1 tsp spirulina
  • 2 tbsp tahini
  • 1 lemon, juice
  • 1 lime, juice
  • 2 tomatoes
  • 1 small purple onion
  • 1 clove of garlic
  • salt, pepper, chili

Instructions

  1. Start by mashing the avocados with a fork in a small bowl until smooth.
  2. Cut tomatoes (use only the flesh) and onion into small pieces and add to mashed avocado.
  3. Add lime and lemon juice, tahini, spirulina, crushed garlic and mix well together. Season with salt, pepper and chili. Enjoy!

Notes

In this recipe you won’t taste the one teaspoon of spirulina, so it’s a great one for you if spirulina is new to you. You can add more of it, depending on how much you like it.

Arrrgh…I don’t know what’s going on with my site lately, it’s super annoying! I think I’ve messed up something in my css and I couldn’t find the error yet, so it’s often down….but I’m working on it! And glad to have you back 😉
I love spirulina too! I can only have it in moderation in my smoothies, but I can eat a lot of it in my guac, hummus and salad dressings!

I made this yesterday, but without spirulina, I don’t have any. It was delicious, even my doughter ate some of it on bread and liked it.

I’m so glad to hear this!
The spirulina anyway doesn’t have a lot of taste in this recipe 😉

Okay, this is something that I have to try. Such an unusual mix, but I can totally see how they would work together. Nice job Evi!
